Agreed that the complimentary continental breakfast you described is being worked on/enhanced. Regardless, I'd try to keep perspective on where you are, and the Totem Square is good choice for a short visit to Sitka.…ĭear Brooke_ML, So very sorry about your experiences at the Totem Square Hotel in Sitka recently as described in your comments. I think that it's safe to assume that's happening to similar properties in Sitka as well.
Toem price driver#
Our shuttle driver did admit that staffing shortages are straining their current staff. I wouldn't want to stay in the room for a week, but for a night before embarkation, it was perfectly adequate. And the property's location is fantastic. The hotel was happy to hold our bags on the day of check-out before we needed them. Our room (while small) was clean (and obviously newly renovated).
The shuttle picked us up at the airport on time (pre-arranged). However, we found the Totem Square to be absolutely fine. We heard from fellow travelers that were frustrated by the shuttle pick-up at the airport. small) and we walked to the Mean Queen for an actual breakfast. It does seem expensive for what you're offered - our room was cramped (i.e. If you think you can find a suite at the Four Seasons Sitka for $100 a night during the high season, by all means don't consider this property.
